Notcutts installs solar heating

Notcutts Garden Centres has installed a solar heating system in its Woodbridge centre restaurant.

The Notcutts system is a working demonstration of the equipment, which is also on sale at the garden centre.

The equipment has been supplied and installed by East Anglia renewable energy systems company East Green.

Notcutts retail director Michael Cole said the plans for the restaurant include incorporating a ground source heat-pump and rainwater harvesting systems.

"The new system supplies hot water to the restaurant and the toilets, but we are keen to expand this in the future," he added.
