Notcutts garden centres creates beer and royalty garden for show

Notcutts and Adnams have teamed up at Sandringham Flower Show 2016 with a pub-garden themed show garden inspired by the celebrations for Her Majesty The Queen's 90th birthday.

Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are expected to visit the garden on their tour of the Show.

Nicky Dulieu, who is chairman at Notcutts and a board director of Adnams, brought the two companies together to create the show garden. The garden contains around 1,500 plants including a 5m silver birch.

The table is set for The Queen’s Birthday Party featuring a lavishly decorated cake, designed and created by one of Notcutts’ restaurant chefs.

Dulieu said: "We have been delighted to partner Notcutts and Adnams and hope that visitors will enjoy our Happy and Glorious pub garden, which is brimming with colourful flowers, striking plants and has a table set for The Queen’s Birthday Party celebrations, including a celebratory tipple. We took our creative ideas from the hanging baskets found in pub gardens and our garden is overflowing with an eclectic mix of beautiful plants."

Around 20,000 visitors are expected at this year’s 135th Sandringham Flower Show, on 27 July.
