Ninety projects line up for Civic Trust Awards

Almost 90 international projects including highly acclaimed work by British landscape architects are up for prizes at the Civic Trust Awards in March.

The Olympic Park masterplan and parkland led by LDA Design is up for an award, along with Leicester Square in London by Burns + Nice. The latter practice is also in the running for Millennium Town Park, St Helier.

Multidisciplinary firm BDP is up for an award, commendation or community recognition for Mount Street urban landscape. Tonkin Liu has been singled out for its redesign of Dover esplanade.

The Civic Trust Awards are one of Europe's longest-running built-environment award schemes, and in their 52-year history have recognised more than 6,500 practices for creating the best in landscape, design, planning, architecture and public art.

The awards are due to take place at Cardiff's City Hall on 9 March.
