Lime Orchard has been launched by Judy Behl - founder of land-scaping franchise Scenic Blue, which was acquired by Marshalls in 2006.

Behl's new firm is a garden design and construction service designed to appeal to homeowners looking to improve their gardens during the downturn.

"We have done a great deal of research into what the demands are going to be," said Behl.

"It is all about the concept of 'improve, don't move'. People are sick and tired of hearing about the property downturn and recession and we are confident there will be substantial numbers interested."

Homeowners will be able to contact their local Lime Orchard franchise, which will arrange for their garden project to be managed from design through to construction.
