Student design and build award to be unveiled next week
Friday, 12 February 2010
Wyevale East and the RHS will unveil the new Student Design & Build Award at the London Plant & Design Show next week (19-20 February).
Wyevale East cash and carry manager Richard McKenna said: "We have been working with the RHS on a new competition for garden design. I am very excited about it and I think it is going to be a great opportunity."
The competition will invite students to design and build a garden and the winning entrant will get the opportunity to show off their work at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this summer.
McKenna said the competition would provide a vital opportunity to introduce the Wyevale East brand to young horticulturists in a bid to develop loyal customers for the future.
The company recently conducted extensive customer research in a bid to refocus its offering after a difficult spring and summer 2009.
