Lantra launches online survey on management and technical horticulture roles
Friday, 10 September 2010
Sector skills council Lantra has launched a consultation to examine management and technical roles in the horticulture industry.
Industry managers and professionals are being asked to take part in an online survey as part of the industry's national occupational standards.
Lantra industry partnership manager David Winn said: "The standards are a great tool to use in the workplace because they can be used to identify the skills needed, highlight best practice, develop training and recruitment plans, develop job descriptions and they also form the basis of horticultural qualifications."
He added: "We need as many people involved in this review as possible, especially because there has been such a substantial change to the skills demands within the horticulture industry over the past few years."
