New leader for HTA

Trade group conference welcomes new president

This year’s Horticultural Trades Association conference saw the election of a new president. Managing director Tim Woodland of bulb supplier K van Bourgondien officially took over from John Little during the HTA’s annual general meeting in Manchester this week. At 42, he is one of the youngest ever presidents. He has served as branch chairman for the Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight branch, on the Joint Hardy Nursery Stock Committee, was a founder member of the HTA’s ornamentals committee and has, for the past two years, served as the HTA’s vice-president. Woodland said: “I would like to thank John Little for the past two years and hope I can follow in his footsteps. I am keen to ensure the HTA continues to help the horticulture industry work more closely across the supply chain so we can all benefit from the future growth potential of our market in turnover and profit.”
