He joined the association in early April, ahead of the show and event season.

Taylor is a graduate in marketing and communications from Coventry University and over the past 10 years has worked in advertising field sales, digital marketing, design and print and promoting leisure and business tourism for Coventry and Warwickshire. He joins BALI fresh from a period of independent marketing consultancy.

His role at BALI will be to coordinate all marketing and communications carried out on behalf of the association and its members. This will include developing and building awareness of BALI with members' target markets and ensuring all campaigns are aligned with the BALI brand across the range of promotional platforms.

Taylor said: "I am delighted to have joined BALI as the new Marketing and Communications Manager and look forward to sharing my skills and experience with the organisation as we work hard to launch exciting new marketing products and services over the next few months and years to come."

BALI's chief executive Wayne Grills commented: "Darren's appointment gives us a formidable marketing and communications team at Landscape House, which will ensure that the BALI brand and everything for which it stands is communicated efficiently and effectively to our target audiences. Our members will reap the benefits of heightened customer awareness and improved internal communication."
