Habeon Architects has designed Jiffy’s new manufacturing location while engineering consultancy Uticon has provided the architectural and process installation technology supervision for the project. Builder is Heembouw.

Jiffy’s new manufacturing plant has been included in an American investor’s portfolio. 3Stone Real Estate, Houthoff Buruma and Search, supervised the transaction on behalf of the Jiffy International AS.
Jiffy International is a worldwide supplier of propagation systems, hydroponic systems, growing containers and substrates for the horticultural industry.
Manufacturing locations are located near peat bogs in Canada, Estonia and Sweden. Additional production facilities are located in Sri Lanka, USA, Spain, Japan, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, producing substrates, peat pots, Jiffy-7 pellets, Preforma propagation systems and, for the hydroponic industry, coir grow blocks and grow bags. At the new location in Zwijndrecht, peat and other raw materials will be processed and mixed into substrates for the professional grower. The existing harbour basin will be converted into a sea port allowing coasters to dock at the new location. Heembouw will start with the pile driving work for the foundation beginning November. Jiffy's new manufacturing location will be completed July 1 st 2016.
