New Bunnings for Kent in Homebase conversion

A planning application for new fascia and signs signals the start of a plan for a sixth UK Bunnings DIY/garden centre in the UK.

The application to Swale Borough Council from GR Planning Consultancy says: "The new signage forms an integral and important part of proposals to refurbish this store and introduce the Bunnings Warehouse offer (brand) to Sittingbourne."

Folkestone in Kent is also to have a Bunnings, converted from a former B&Q, while St Albans already has two. Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes are also being converted by 30 June. Bunnings plans 8-10 conversions this year.

Bunnings owner Wesfarmers bought Homebase for £340m in early 2016.
