The German producer of natural weed, feed and control products, which has a wide distribution across Europe including the UK, is one of only three companies to have been shortlisted from 550 entries for the German Sustainability Award 2014 (GSA).

The award is given to businesses that prove that success is compatible with social responsibility and environmental stewardship, it is endorsed by the German Federal Government. In addition to the award of first prize, the remaining two shortlisted companies receive TOP3 status.

Neudorff Uk sales director Jude Beharall said; "To be shortlisted for this award is a huge achievement and is a great boost for the entire company. The sustainable ethos is echoed throughout everything the company does, from the ingredients used within the products, that occur naturally in nature, to the methods used to produce them, we are very proud of our sustainable credentials."

The company’s head office in Emmerthal, Germany, generates its own renewable electricity using sun, water and wind energy and company cars are all low emission. The business also supports environmental projects including the protection of the rainforests in Costa Rica.

The winners of the German Sustainability Award 2014 will be announced on 28 November 2014.
