Mystery buyer purchases Welsh garden centre ripe for redevelopment

Alexander Mackie Associates has sold a garden centre in Wales to a mystery buyer who is redeveloping the property.

The garden centre is six weeks into a 12 week redevelopment, according to Alexander Mackie Associates. The buyer will remain anonymous until the renovations are complete.

Alexander Mackie Associates believe the garden centre has growth potential. Turnover for 31 January 2016 was £820,000. It has a prominent frontage located alongside busy ‘A’ roads and population areas.

The unidentified retail outlet was put up for sale after the former owners decided to retire after 30 years in the business. The property had an adjoining tea room and includes stone built buildings, a portal framed building, glass houses and canopies.

AMA has also sold Maple Ridge Garden Centre in West Sussex. The identity of the buyer has not been revealed.
