The restaurant seats 350 and is double the size of the old cafe. There is a mezzanine level to accommodate plant and machinery. It features a 20m curved roof, and sliding automatic and manual glazed doors will enable large areas of the sides to be opened up in good weather. Al fresco diners will also be protected from the elements by a polycarbonate canopy. Malcolm Scott Consultants did the design and put it through planning, while Catering Design Group assisted with some internal ideas. Local contractors and internal maintenance and construction man Steve Butterworth managed the build.
