Miracle-Gro'wers display at Chelsea Flower Show:

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is continuing to encourage schoolchildren to grow and assess the vegetables and edible flowers that they are growing in a series of plant growing experiments.

More than 100 schools have signed up to the Miracle-Gro's 2015 Schools Initiative to grow vegetables at school in scientific experiments, engaging the children to sow, pot up and to care for the plants, and, in the long term, eat the broad beans and swiss chard.

As well as encouraging the children to Eat-Five-A-Day the pupils from the Miracle-Growers Academy (www.miraclegrowers.com) have also been compiling ideas to form a Healthy Living Plan.

Details of the growing results will be on display in the Great Pavilion at RHS Chelsea Flower Show (Stand No. GPJ/9). All schools will be encouraged to continue with the growth of vegetables and edible flowers to maturity so that they can count and eat the produce and hopefully expand their eating habits to include more varied items.
