Microgreens sales rocket

Johnsons Seeds has reported increased sales of 31% for its microgreens growing kit over the 2017 season, buoyed by the continuing trend of adding baby leaves to dishes.

The ultra-baby leaf vegetables can be grown all year round on a windowsill and are popular with chefs.
Johnsons brand manager Helen Clayton said: "Microgreens really are such an easy way of adding fresh flavour to liven up meals. Our reusable growing tray is perfect for those of us with little time on our hands."
