McConnel Barrier Mower

Designed for cutting around roadside obstacles and guard rails, McConnel's Barrier Mower should appeal to local authorities and highway verge maintenance teams. The nimble unit speeds up work, saving time and labour and reducing disruption to motorists.

The compact mower has a high-position flex-arm and twin rotary cutting heads. Each features a heavy-duty rubber turntable on the outside rim that grips the obstacle and allows the heads to part automatically without risk of damage to the machine, leaving a fine, even cut around the obstacle.

It has a 1.5m cutting width and is compatible with tractors of 85hp and above, as well as other vehicles such as Unimogs. At 1,500kg it is one of the lightest and most compact on the market. It can be frontor rear-mounting, leftor right-hand cutting and has a 2.3m maximum working reach.
