Massey Ferguson zero-turn mower

Conventionally steered but with zero-turn capabilities, the mid-deck MF50-23IZ and out-front MF50-22FMZ ride-on rotaries join the Massey Ferguson product line-up for 2009.

Model MF50-23IZ has independently driven rear wheels and a steerable front axle operated by a con- ventional steering wheel.

Rear-wheel drive is controlled by advanced Synchro technology that synchronises movement of the steering wheel to control the speed and rotational direction to give 360 degs turning within the length of the machine.

The pivoting front axle, a wide track and low centre of gravity help keep all wheels firmly on the ground for a smoother cut across level or sloping ground.

Power comes from a 23hp twin-cylinder petrol engine and the 1.27m cutting width is provided by the mid-mounted, heavy-duty, triple-bladed mowing deck with anti-scalp rollers and mulching kit. An optional collector is available for use with the quick-attach side-discharge deck.

Massey's first out-front model, the MF50-22 FMZ, uses the same steering technology and is powered by a 22hp Kawasaki petrol engine. The quick-attach 1.27m floating cutter deck has three blades. Height of cut is adjustable from 38mm to 114mm. A mulching kit is supplied.
