Best exhibit and gold medal winner, cacti specialist Southfield Nurseries, was showing its 200th cultivar at this year's show, Chamalobivia 'Lincoln Legend'.
Dibleys Nurseries won gold and included the newly launched Streptocarpus ‘Freya' in its exhibit.
Meanwhile Brookfield Plants brought six new varieties of Hostas, along with an unusual yellow flowered variety called Hosta ‘Miracle Lemony’.
Other new launches included Lillium ‘Beatrix’ from H.W. Hyde & Son marking the 250th anniversary of the life and works of Beatrix Potter.
Jon Wheatley revealed Dahlia ‘Regal Lizzy’, one of five new plants at the show this year. Dahlia ‘Regal Lizzy’ commemorates the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and is bred from Dahlia ‘Magenta Star’.
Wheatley also introduced Anigozanthus ‘Bush Pearl’ (lipstick pink), Anigozanthus ‘Bush Tenacity’ (orange and yellow) and Anigozanthus ‘Bush Inferno’ (vibrant red).
