“It is very lightweight and is no effort to use,” says the tester. “The shaft is slightly longer than on the Tanaka, so it is more comfortable for my back, but they are both very easy to start.” Like other grass trimmers from Makita, the RBC2510 has a primer to aid firing up.
“It’s a good tool for maintaining gardens and trimming after mowing,” the tester adds. It’s also robust and delivers quite a punch. The head is a “bump-feed” twin-line. This machine also has a decent fuel tank. It holds 0.5 litres and is well positioned for filling without spillage. Vibration, according to our testers, is “nil” or perhaps “negligible”. The loop handle is well designed, nicely covered and comfortable to grip.
The RBC2510 is also provided with its own tool kit.
