The EH5000W, EH6000W and EH7500W have 22.2cc two-stroke engines, delivering 1hp, that run on a 50:1 fuel mix and meet the CARB Tier 3 and EPA Phase 2 and EU emission and noise regulations.

The trimmers feature double-sided, double-action blades to allow them to be used in both an upward and downward movement.

For comfort, they have a rear grip handle that rotates through 180 degs and locks in any of five positions. The forward-facing exhaust outlet directs emissions and noise away from the operator, while vibration is reduced with Makita's M2M engine damping system.

Complete with 75cm blade, the longest hedge trimmer weighs 5.2kg and should appeal to domestic and commercial users.
