The target of £30,000 has now been exceeded, thanks to donations from 347 backers. The funds will be used to publish a broadsheet newspaper outlining the proposal to make London a National Park City. It is hoped the publication will be read by more than 100,000 Londoners.
Organiser Daniel Raven-Ellison said: "We are all over the moon to have hit our crowdfunding target. The support clearly shows that this is more then just an idea, it's an investable proposition that is financially backed by hundreds of people and politically backed by thousands."
The campaign has support from the London Assembly along with Ealing Council, Sutton Council and the council of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.
The White Paper outlining the final National Park City proposal will be published on July 14 with a free launch event at Conway Hall in Holborn.
