Lloyds HM19H4 Hover

On slopes, around lakes, beneath overhanging shrubs — some places need a special mower and we reckon this new model is a serious contender for that kind of work.

What’s more, this hover is height adjustable. Normal cutting height is between 12mm and 76mm but an optional lift-kit means the grass can be left at 100mm if required.
The HM19H4 is a commercial duty mower. It’s clear, just by looking at it, that it has been designed and built for life in a tough environment. Its high-density, high-strength polyethylene deck —UV and chemical resistant — is rugged. The long handles are joined to the deck using metal connecting plates for added strength and to prevent premature fracturing. And with a 48cm cutting width, this mower delivers big performance. Tall grass is cut and mulched for a clean, professional look.
“It’s extra light, floats well and is comfortable to use,” says our tester. “And it gives an excellent finish. All the grass is well cut and there are no clumps.”
A 5.5hp four-stroke Honda engine provides the power. It runs quietly and cleanly and is CARB and EPA certified. And, while it’s a four-stroke machine, it is not too heavy and it works effortlessly on slopes up to 40? or 45?.
