Lely secures distribution rights for SOLO kit in the UK

Lely has become the UK distributor of outdoor equipment from German manufacturer SOLO.

Kim Macfie, a manager at St Neots-based Lely, said SOLO equipment spanned consumer and professional kit, and included brushcutters, sprayers, hedgetrimmers and blowers.

The SOLO range also included chainsaws with a 75 per cent reduction in emissions and 20 per cent improvement in fuel economy on recommended levels.

SOLO is the latest brand to join Lely's product portfolio and sits alongside such names as Toro Commercial and Toro Irrigation.

Kim Macfie said: "Our commitment to good after-sales service will benefit dealers and consumers."

SOLO sales and marketing director Nils Fock said: "We are looking forward to a new beginning in a vital market."
