The event will return with all the glamour and style of the roaring 1920s and 30s, according to the organisers, with displays created by local and award winning florists, including Laura Leong, who was named Chelsea Florist of the Year for her Gold Medal winning entry ‘The Flower Fairie’ at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Celebrity garden designer Diarmuid Gavin will officially open the event on Tuesday 22 September from 2pm. He will give an illustrated talk on the history of garden design in the Festival Marquee on the Pavilion Lawn.
Specialist talks and demonstrations will run throughout the Festival of Flowers event from the 22 to 27 September.
Tickets are now available for a special preview evening of the displays on the evening of Tuesday 22 September. The evening will include a talk entitled ‘Lady Baillie’s Love of Flowers; Tales from the 1930s’.
