Lee will join Petface. Brindle was at STV and before that held several roles at Gardman. Prior to that he was at Plum and Mr Fothergill's.

Gardman said: "We are delighted to be welcoming James Brindle back as Business Development Director.  James’ main focus within the company will be to oversee and develop both our group and independent garden centre retail channels.  We will also see Lolly Lee move on from the company, following her recent resignation as Director of Business Development – we thank Lolly for her time with Gardman and wish her all the best for the future."

Gardman appointed Pete Utting as new chief executive in November 2015.
