The 5.6ha growing site at Holme Upon Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire with 2 hectares of glass was on the market for £500,000 through Chris Clubley.
The agents said the glasshouses provided 21,000 square metres of cover in a single block but made up of four 2,100 metre square units and three 4,200 metre square units. The glasshouses were built by H.O.K. and are all metre pane glass in the roof with full aluminium gutters.
Langlands director James Ducker said he felt that it was a good opportunity and they plan to grow perennials there which will be sold in their three garden centres, Shiptonthorpe, Whinmoor and Loxley.
