Landscapers tackled a hike up England's highest mountain -- Scafell Pike -- at the weekend as part of training for an event to raise cash for horticultural charity Greenfingers.

The landscapers are part of a group who will undertake the Three Peaks Challenge in July — climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours.

A total of 16 people are set to undertake the gruelling challenge in a bid to raise £10,000 for charity Greenfingers.

Among those taking part are British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) chairman Richard Gardiner and vice-chair Paul Cowell, as well as his colleague Anthony George, Outdoor Options' managing director Brian Herbert, and John O'Conner managing director Matt O'Conner.

Association of Professional landscapers vice chair Mark Gregory and colleague Matt Moore are also set to take part, following their London marathon run next weekend.

HW's Magda Ibrahim will join the team, as well as landscapers from across the country.

The group headed to Wasdale Head, in Cumbria, for a training session at 978-metre Scafell Pike, which will be climbed during the night as part of the Three Peaks Challenge.
