Koro rotors for pitch renovation

Designed for pitch renovation work, two new rotors have been introduced by Campey Turf Care Systems for use with the Koro by Imants Field Top Maker.

The Terraplaner Rotor has been developed to achieve a level surface ready for aeration and overseeding. It quickly removes unwanted organic material such as Poa annua, thatch, weeds or the entire surface to a depth of 50mm.

The second model - the Universe Rotor - is intended for the single-pass removal of a year's accumulated organic matter from synthetic, natural and hybrid surfaces. Tested on DESSO Grass Master, this rotor exposed the fibres and created conditions fit for seed sowing.

"We have to keep moving forward and improving through experience, mindful of changes in the way surfaces are used and maintained," says managing director Richard Campey. "In conjunction with Imants, we have built on the knowledge gained from years of experience and good practice with Koro. We learn from the results and translate the findings into even better machines for better playing surfaces in the future."
