Kingfisher releases sustainability report

B&Q owner Kingfisher have published sustainability report for 2015/16, detailing how it wants to become a restorative 'Net Positive' business.

Kingfisher said 96 per cent of its timber now sustainably sourced and a partnership with RSPB sees it "restoring 100,000 hectares of over-logged tropical forest in Indonesia".

The company says 28 per cent of revenue is now driven from sustainable products, with the aim to reach 50 per cent by 2020. NODs decking is an example, made from Kingfisher's own waste plastic and wood.

Kingfisher also claims it has saved £750m on customers' bills through energy efficient product sales.
