Visitors were given an opportunity to see the Proven Winners concept being used as a ‘shop within a shop’ for garden centres and also how branding can be used to achieve increased and prolonged sales of seasonal plants.
The exhibition showed some of the new varieties that Kernock Park Plants will be adding to their Proven Winners offering this year including two new Fuchsia Shadowdancers, new colours added to the Buddleja ‘Buzz’ assortment, additions to the Erysimum 'Winter’ series, and a whole new series of four Lobelia ‘Lobelix’. There were also newer accompaniments such as petunias with weather resistance - ‘Chocolina’, ‘Nerolina’, ‘Flamingo’ and the Calibrachoa ‘Superbells Unique’ series.
Kernock Park Plants managing director Bruce Harnett said: "The nurseries at Kientzler flower trial location was an excellent to be able to show what Proven Winners can offer. Customers from all over the world came to visit the displays during the week and those I spoke to were inspired by what they saw. We hope to be able to repeat the exercise for 2016."
The 2016 Kernock "Growing Innovations" catalogue including all of the Proven Winner varieties will be available from August 2015.
Meanwhile, Kernock Park Plants is on stand 129 & 136 at the National Plants Show on 23-24 June at Stoneleigh where it will be showing Proven Winners POS material and some new recipes from the Pot Art concept.
