John Deere 7400 TerrainCut

Manufactured to change cut width on the move, the John Deere 7400 TerrainCut trim and surrounds mowers is expected to be available in limited numbers this spring and fully available by summer.

Designed as a rotary alternative to the firm's 2653B utility mower, the three-wheel-drive 7400 features a 36hp turbo-charged diesel engine and three independent 68.5cm rotary decks. The decks are made of 10-gauge steel and have a "width-on-demand" system that allows the operator to adjust the working width of cut from 172cm to 188cm while on the move.

The mower's TerrainCut Reach system allows either the front left- or right-hand deck to be shifted up to 38cm beyond the full 188cm cutting width to allow the machine to trim safely around bunkers and other hazards while keeping the mower's centre of gravity in a consistent and stable position.
