Joanna Lumley provides audio tour of Mile End Park

Visitors to Mile End Park in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets can discover the park through an audio tour from actress Joanna Lumley.

Joanna Lumley — who is a patron of Mile End Park — has recorded a step-free tour of the park, which could help partially sighted visitors to explore the green space.

The route takes visitors from the north to the south of the park and is around 1.5 miles long.

Mile End Park manager Mike Rowan said he was delighted that Joanna Lumley had stepped in to help out.

"A lot of people have already told me they've downloaded it," he explained.

The Joanna Lumley audio tour of Mile End Park can be downloaded from the web onto mobile phones and music players.
