JD Stage IV engines

With the 6R available from November 2015 and the 6M from Spring 2016, these full-frame tractors additionally feature improved manoeuvrability, enhanced operator comfort, a wide range of transmissions and a premium front hitch option.

The new 6R Series four-cylinder tractors are powered by 4.5-litre JD PowerTech PSS engines rated from 110hp to 135hp. The six-cylinder versions have 6.8-litre PowerTech PVS engines rated at 145hp and 155hp.

All new 6R Series models are equipped with intelligent power management systems, which add 20-30hp on the four-cylinder machines and 40hp to the six-cylinder models.

PowerTech PSS engines feature turbochargers plus lifetime diesel particulate filters and diesel exhaust fluid systems to comply with the Stage IV emission regulations. These are designed to keep running costs at low levels and provide maximum response to load changes. The 6145R and 6155R models also feature a 750-hour engine oil change interval.
