Watching four-wheel drive articulated loaders make light work of landscaping tasks is one of the highlights of the demonstration area.
When budgets are tight, purchasing new equipment can be a decision that is often put off. But this year Avant Tecno will be promoting its tailored contract-hire package allowing companies or individuals to acquire a new Avant loader plus up to three suitable attachments, and even a trailer, for little outlay. The Landscaper 420 package, for instance, costs from £55 + VAT per week.
There are now more than 100 different attachments available for Avant Tecno's loaders. The latest ones to look out for include the new HD collector brush, hedge trimmer, strimmer head, lightweight chipper and screener buckets.
Latest models on show
Cultivation and soil preparation are two aspects of landscape and pitch construction work that feature on BLEC Global's stand. As well as two models of the Multivator, the company will show the new BLEC Power Box Rake for Italian-style two-wheel tractors. The heavy-duty version for use behind tractors can also be inspected. This has a long-life pointed carbide toothed rotor for pulverising, earth moving, grading and stone picking.
The BLEC Laser Grader will also be on show. This has become popular for use in golf tee renovation work and also for levelling and grading lawned areas and pitches.
For carrying smaller loads, the wheelbarrow remains a handy tool in any landscaper's armoury. The Fort, Limex and Belle ranges will be displayed by ALTRAD-Belle, Europe's largest wheelbarrow manufacturer. Prime focus will be on the Belle Warrior with its 100-litre high-density polyethylene tray and one-year warranty.
Also on display will be the BMD300 powered barrow, a new snow plough, low-vibration plate compactors, concrete mixers and a full range of accessories. More wheelbarrows will be exhibited by Excelsior Roto Mouldings, including a new 90kg-load-bearing barrow with 15mm-thick walls.
Keeping your kit safe is essential these days. Mr Box's stand will display the latest secure steel storage containers, vandal-proof accommodation and chemical stores. The company also offers a conversion service where containers can be adapted to specific needs to include workshops, machinery sheds and office/mess facilities.
The volume of rainfall this year has focused minds on the value of reinforcing turf areas for emergency vehicles, car parks or areas of heavy footfall. The full range of PERFO grass reinforcement tiles can be seen at the show, including the new PERFO-AK (Anchor) tile.
Like other tiles in the range, the new version is 100 per cent recycled but thicker. It is designed for heavy-duty applications and soft ground use. Sitting deeper in the ground, the tiles resist vehicle turning while the semi-closed top prevents the resurgence of soft mud. PERFO tiles can also be used in gravel for permeable parking/pavement applications.
Known for its sports and equestrian fencing, Duralock will also be at IoG Saltex. The company - approved by racing authorities and sports associations worldwide - has manufacturing facilities in the UK from where it supplies PVC fencing to leading clubs and racecourses. New to its range is a redesigned moveable fencing support foot that is light and easy to assemble, dismantle and store. It comes in a choice of post and rail or picket style.

Kettering-based Wicksteed Leisure will shake up the world of the traditional swing with the launch of the FlexiSwing, which features basket, cradle and flat seat all in the one unit. The firm's SportACTIV game will be set up so visitors can try it and be pitted against each other.
Meanwhile, The Children's Playground Co, which advocates the use of natural materials for play areas, returns to IoG Saltex to promote its design and installation services, equipment, surfacing, artworks and ancillary items.
And Fenland Leisure will introduce the Ranch Multiplay unit, complete with climbing tower, surfboard, log climb, high deck, climbing wall, ramp and bridge.
Recycled bonded rubber mulch for play, bunker and pathway use will be demonstrated by Soft Mulch, while Baron UK will show forced-action mixing machines and levelling equipment for wet-pour rubber applications.
J&J Learmonth will show handmade outdoor furniture.
Walling and paving materials will be displayed by CED Natural Stone. More decorative landscaping products will be featured by Core Gravel UK, along with ground stabilisation and water recycling solutions.
Sofpave will demonstrate its building and landscaping products, all of which use recycled material.
