ICL fertilizer technical manager Andrew Wilson said: "Growers requirements vary geographically and from crop to crop. With this in mind our highly experienced technical teams have crafted four mixes for the key autumn crops – Pansies and Primulas for autumn or spring sale, Poinsettias and Cyclamen."
The four growing media mixes are blended from professionally graded raw materials – peat, pine bark and perlite - from ICL’s facility in Scotland.
Wilson added: "Each mix contains the ideal Osmocote controlled-release fertilizer to maintain nutrient availability throughout the growing cycle, when liquid feeding is not always possible or indeed desirable. Our Micromax trace element package ensures appropriate levels of iron are available helping to deliver healthier, greener plants maximising impact at point of sale."
The four Levington Advance Solution mixes contain ICL’s H2Gro wetting agent. The Poinsettia and Cyclamen mixes also contain Exemptor − providing control of whitefly, sciarid fly, aphid and vine weevil − together with the biofungicide Prestop. Pre-mixed in to the growing media, Prestop helps to control damping-off, root and base rot diseases.
