HTA agreement enables in-store sign-up for RHS membership

The HTA and RHS have signed an agreement so HTA member garden centres and retail nurseries will be able to offer RHS membership.

RHS membership packs come with merchandising kit including posters and pack dispensers. Each pack of 10 costs £219 + VAT and one membership has a recommended retail value of £49.

HTA marketing director Andrew Maxted said: "The RHS membership pack will appeal both to keen gardeners and those looking for a gift for friends or family."

RHS marketing director Dan Wolfe said: "With its network of garden centre members, the HTA is the perfect partner to help us broaden our reach by distributing a retail membership pack that has year-round validity."

The HTA and the RHS are also co-producing a new series of videos based on their jointly-branded Easy Guide leaflets. The first videos will be launched at the HTA National Plant show on 29 June.
