HSBC pays tribute to Johnsons of Whixley

The directors of North Yorkshire nursery Johnsons of Whixley enjoyed a day out recently at HSBC Tower, Canary Wharf, London as guests of HSBC Bank plc .

HSBC agriculture head Allan Wilkinson invited the group in recognition of a relationship spanning 50 years since Johnsons of Whixley chairman John Richardson bought the business from Eric Johnson.

The group enjoyed a celebratory lunch and a tour the 42-floor building which houses 7,000 employees.

Allan Wilkinson thanked John Richardson, describing the relationship as unique and "founded on respect and communication".
