The new system was installed by Swan Retail in May and covers all of Homeleigh’s business operations, tying in with the centre’s stock control and linking to its website, according to Homeleigh owner Rob Broad.
The garden centre has 15 tills in total, with some in the cafe and in each department.
Broad said the reason for upgrading the system was for stock control, with the previous basic till system not having included this. The Swan Retail EPoS will provide management reports and help give an idea of buying patterns, he said.
He added that it is "early days" but the system was working well so far. The website is not yet up and running with the system and is likely to be ready by the end of July, he said
