Home and Garden Group buy ninth garden centre from Mark Spencer MP

The Home and Garden Group have announced that Floralands Garden Centre in Nottingham has joined their group, becoming their ninth garden centre.

Home and Garden is a family-run business, operating both a large production nursery in Bedfordshire and nine garden centres across the UK.

Claire Gill, marketing manager for the Home and Garden group said: "We are delighted to announce that today we have welcomed the 9th garden centre to our group. Floralands is a wonderful centre, full of history and will fit in with our other centres perfectly. We are looking forward to bringing our ethos of being ‘The Gardeners Garden centre’ to Nottingham, and our reputation for high quality plants at affordable prices."

The group has grown from four garden centres in the summer of 2014.

It bought Plowmans in March.

The centre was owned by local farmers Mark and Claire Spencer, and is on a site of circa 4.9 hectares (12.108 acres) and has a farm zoo, large modern restauarnt plus a model railway. Mark Spencer is new Conservative MP for Sherwood. He was a Nottinghamshire county councillor.

Quinton Edwards acted on behalf of the Spencer family and wish Mark Spencer every success with his political career.
