Head gardener beats gooseberry record
Kelvin Archer, head gardener at Rode Hall in Cheshire, has once again broken the world record for a single gooseberry, with a Millennium Berry which weighs 41 pennyweight, 11 and 1/4 grains, or 2.25oz (65 grams).
Archer previously held the record for 16 years until it was broken in 2009 by Bryan Nellist from Egton Bridge in North Yorkshire with a berry of 39.21.
