Haskins plans bigger move into social media

The four-strong garden centre south coast group Haskins, has optimised its website and is working on a new PR strategy aimed at social media.

Haskins' website is now mobile and tablet-enabled and 50 per cent of visitors come to the website via those devices.

Haskins also has new catering EPOS and promotional POS management.

The company is targetting Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest users and has a monthly blog from Alasdair Urquhart, plant advisor at Ferndown.

But there will be no e-commerce on the site, as the company does not believe it would be profitable.
