His first job was with the Worthing Leisure centre where he gained his NVQ in Leisure Management and became a duty manager.
Haskins Roundstone general manager Nick Joad said Lephard's experience and interest in horticulture will enhance the service offered to customers:
"He will be a great asset to the centre and is also keen to support the charities we help every year as a local lad and long term member of the community."
Since the Haskins Roundstone Garden Centre was redeveloped in 2012 as a £13 million new build project, the turnover has reached £8 million as a destination garden centre, complete with a 550 seat restaurant and a range of departments alongside the extensive range of plants, sundries and gardening equipment. The centre hosts a variety of community-based events ranging from the annual sponsorship of the Angmering In Bloom contest to themed events for local charity events and collections.
