This scheme involved the redevelopment of a courtyard surrounded by student accommodation, also open to the public. Materials included bespoke cut Yorkstone paving and a setts layer to form a series of complex and beautiful curves. Aluminium edging was used and cellular honeycomb sheets filled with limestone chippings for the paths. Stunning bespoke steel and timber benches were also commissioned as part of the scheme. This garden looks as stunning at night as it does during the day thanks to a high-quality lighting scheme.
"The contractor has demonstrated a high degree of skill in cutting and laying a complex radial of York stone flags in this small courtyard at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital student accommodation.
"Despite difficult access, the contractor has created a faultless scheme that in addition to technically challenging hard landscaping included the installation of timber and stainless steel benches."
