Hambrooks marks 40 years with first show garden at Hampton Court

One of Britain's most prolific garden design and maintenance companies, Hambrooks, has built its first show garden to celebrate 40 years in the business.

The Living Room, at Hampton Court show last week, from Hambrooks Garden Design & Landscaping featured an extension to living space under a glazed veranda roof, with contemporary furniture and a stainless steel fireplace.

Founder Norman Hambrook said: "We have 85 full-time staff and 20 teams working every day, even in these trying times, maintaining and constructing gardens. Eight of them do maintenance. It's all private work within 35 miles of Southampton.

The show garden received positive media reaction from Rachel de Thame and Chris Beardshaw among others.

Beardshaw studied at Pershore College alongside Hambrook's garden designer Mike Hodges, who said: "I have done some similar gardens but none as glamorous as this. It's a contrast to everything else in the show, which is very natural."
