Ground Control launches tree clearance division

Ground Control has launched a mechanised vegetation clearance division building on years of tree clearance experience.

The Billericay-headquartered national contractor said the new business division will improve project delivery through efficiency, quality and safer work practices.

The company, which has delivered tree clearance for power line projects, railway infrastructure and large property developments among others, has bought new specialist kit for the division, including Menzi Muck, Bandit 20XP Whole Tree Chipper, Liebherr 942 Long Reach, Case Excavator and Kubota.

Arboriculture operations manager Sean Stanley said: "We have the equipment, machinery and a highly-skilled workforce that can tackle any vegetation site clearance project in a huge range of different environments. With greater efficiency, our customers can benefit from great reductions in time taken to complete the work, significant cost savings and improved safety on site.

"We have spent time searching out the most effective machinery possible to be able to provide our clients with the simplest solutions to their arboricultural needs, and our combined experience, from work on the ground to project delivery, continues to enable us to understand what the best possible solutions would be for our client needs."

Ground Control also has in-house ecologists which it can draw on for this work.
