Billed as the DIY SOS team's 'most ambitious' project to date, the venture saw Ground Control team up with Tesco to transform eight houses into specially adapted homes for Armed Forces veterans, as well as the landscaping of their East Manchester streets, incorporating a total of 62 houses.

Ground Control supplied a number of landscapers to assist with the gardening and landscaping throughout the entire project. The big reveal took place on 25 September and will be aired on BBC One tonight at 8pm.

The company's managing director Marcus Watson said: "We are very pleased to be able to provide both our personnel and landscaping expertise to this worthy project. There are a significant amount of empty properties across the country, so turning a derelict Manchester street into housing for Armed Forces veterans is not only an excellent project for those requiring them, it will also help restore the local community to its former glory."
