Green-tech supplies 200,000 spirals and bamboo canes to Brambledown

Green-tech has been asked to supply 200,000 spirals, bamboo caness and sundries to Brambledown Landscape Services to protect hedging as part of an overhead power line project in the North East of England.

The move follows Brambledown Landscape Services winning the contract to replace areas of hedging disturbed by the replacement of a 400 volt overhead power line between Spennymoor and Norton. The spirals will give the newly-planted whips the best start in life.

Green-tech is renowned for holding large quantities of stock and was able to fulfil phase one of the order immediately. Phase two of the planting will take place in January.

Sales director Ian Rotherham said: "This is a great order for us. We are delighted with how the season is shaping up, we’re on track to have our busiest period yet."
