The York Press teamed up with BHP Chartered Accountants to analyse data from thousands of small and medium sized enterprises in the area to compile a definitive Top 50 list, based on pre-tax profits.
Green-tech is ranked 40th on the list. Managing director Rachel Kay said: "We are delighted to see that we had made it on to the York Press’ Top 50 SME list.
"Green-tech is a progressive business and we are continually growing. We are in the midst of investing £2m to have a new purpose built office and warehouse facility built close to the A1 motorway. This will give us the capacity to increase our output and staff numbers once again so hopefully you’ll see us rise up the list next year."
