Technical and export manager Chris Swan said "We have seen a marked increase in the number of export enquiries we are receiving and the volume of orders - so much so that earlier this year the sole focus of my role shifted to export, simply to meet the demand.

The company has more than 20 distributors in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, with one of their newest clients in Canada placing an order for a substantial number of Mona Plant Irrigation Systems.

The full container is bound for Vancouver in Canada where the client, Green Theory Distributors, is based. Sailing on 21 December, the container will spend its Christmas at sea, taking just over a month to arrive.

Green Theory Distributors sources and distribute products to enhance spaces and protect the environment. It is the main distributor for the Irrigation Plant Systems sold across North America.

Green-tech's Mona irrigation system is rebranded by Green Theory Distributors and is known in Canada as the Ollie Plant Sipper System. It is marketed as a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for interior and exterior landscaping. The irrigation tank is installed at the bottom of the planter where it acts as a reservoir and feeds the plant as and when required. In optimum conditions it only requires refilling every six weeks.

Green Theory Distributors first contacted Green-tech a year ago, after reading about their irrigation system on the company website.

Swan commented: "Green Theory Distributors are a relatively new customer but the effort they have put into their sales and marketing has meant they are now amongst one of our largest export customers."
