In total 8,420 pairs of gloves were sold on that single day, raising £2105 for the charity. The cheque was handed over to Greenfingers Chairman Matthew Wilson, at the garden he designed for the Royal Bank of Canada at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Linda Petrons, the charity’s head of fundraising, said: "Town & Country has long been a supporter of Greenfingers and we already have a lot to thank them for. This latest fundraising initiative comes after an already generous donation of £7,000, which was made earlier this year. We would like to thank them for their ongoing support."
